In The Smurfs and the Magic Flute, a magical flute is just what Court Jester Peewit needs to play delightful tunes that make everyone in the kingdom dance — until the dancing turns dangerous. Sir Johan tries in vain to recover the musical instrument, but a thief named McCreep beats him to it, intending to use the flute to steal gold from the King’s subjects. It’s the Smurfs to the rescue when Papa Smurf devises a plan to create a second magical flute, and Peewit and Sir Johan go on a great adventure to find McCreep, win the musical duel and save the kingdom!

Ahh, what a walk down memory lane. I have to say, I truly enjoy the fact that so many shows from my childhood are either still around or making a comeback. It makes it even more enjoyable when I can sit down with my daughter and tell her that I used to watch this show when I was a little girl!

Having The Smurfs on DVD is great! My daughter took to them immediately and was very interested. So now when she requests them I can pop this DVD in. The Smurfs are very much as I remembered them, with each one having such personality! They are always full of bright ideas and using their brains (and magic) to get through tricky situations. With Papa Smurf leading the group, and all his faithful Smurfs to follow, they are sure to save the day!
