Women over 50 fight menopause, creaky joints, busy lives, and other factors that interfere with their quests for weight control and fitness. These advice-filled stories from women over 50 who have figured out how to get fit are combined with Dr. Koven's practical advice and medical information. You won't have any more excuses!
I don't fit into the over 50 category yet, but I was excited to check this book out and then share it with my mom. My mom has been complaining about how getting older has affected her body over the last few years. So I found this book to be very interesting because of the way the information from Dr. Koven was presented.
One of my mom's biggest arguments when I try and give her advice on losing weight, eating better, or exercising more is that she doesn't have the time to get out and exercise and she is in a routine with my dad in terms of the foods they eat. Not the best excuses, but she keeps bringing up the can't teach an old dog new tricks saying. So this book was just what she needed.
Dr. Koven has tons of simple ideas on how to make minimal changes in your daily life that can go a long way. And then having some stories from real women to support those ideas and help to motivate my mom. My mom is now on a path to do more walking, eat more vegetables, and get more sleep at night. Small changes that can go a long way!

I received a free copy of this book for review purposes. All opinions expressed are my own.
